Zineryt is a lotion you can apply directly on your skin to treat acne. Zineryt contains two active ingredients: zinc and an antibiotic called erythromycin.
Zineryt contains an antibiotic which helps kill bacteria that cause acne, reduces inflammation and stops new spots from forming. In addition, the zinc helps heal skin quickly.
Zineryt will take up to three months to work and have a noticeable effect on your skin. It's important to keep using it everyday even if you don't notice an improvement overnight.
Zineryt contains an antibiotic called erythromycin. The zinc in Zineryt is not an antibiotic, but does have antibacterial properties. The combination of erythromycin and zinc in Zineryt make it an effective acne treatment.
Zineryt can be used on the face, back or chest. Your doctor may suggest you use Zineryt in other places. Always apply Zineryt as directed by your doctor and only on top of your skin.
Zineryt is suitable for the treatment of moderate acne. If you only have a few spots, blackheads or whiteheads, then you can try mild over the counter treatments from a pharmacy. If you have a lot of spots and inflammation then Zineryt can be an effective treatment. Severe acne which includes cysts and hard lumps underneath the skin, known as nodules, may need stronger treatment which can only be prescribed by a doctor.

Zineryt should be used for the length of time your doctor has prescribed. This is typically for up to three months before you notice an improvement. Stopping the treatment early may cause your acne symptoms to return.
If you forget to use Zineryt, apply it as soon as you remember in either the morning or evening. Leave at least three hours between each application of Zineryt. It's important to use Zineryt consistently to get the full benefit of the treatment.
If you use too much Zineryt, pat your face gently with a cloth or tissue to remove it. Using the applicator correctly should prevent you from using too much Zineryt.
